1 Year - 2 Semesters
Campus: Sault Ste. Marie
Start Dates: Sep 2026
Program Code: 4099

Overview

The first intake of this program will begin in September 2026.

The one-year Plumbing Techniques certificate program gives you the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills to start your career in the plumbing trade.

In just two semesters, you’ll train in labs that mirror real-world environments, developing technical skills in pipe installation, maintenance, and repair. You’ll also learn the safe use of plumbing systems, workplace safety, and industry codes and standards.

You’ll complete a capstone project where you design, plan, and carry out a plumbing system installation or diagnostic project. Working individually or in a team, you’ll take on every phase of the project—from blueprint interpretation and code compliance to cost estimation, material selection, safety planning, and hands-on implementation.

This certificate prepares you for entry-level opportunities in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing settings. It’s also a great pathway to continue your training in an apprenticeship and work toward becoming a licensed plumber.

Start building your future in this in-demand trade.
