Career Preparation prepares students for transition from the formal learning environment to the workplace by developing professional skills expected in today’s culinary and hospitality industries. Students learn to build resumes and portfolios, communicate professionally, prepare for interviews, and understand workplace expectations, including teamwork, leadership, and industry standards across restaurant, hospitality, and institutional food service settings. The course also helps students identify career pathways, set goals, and present themselves confidently as they move into co-op placements and entry-level positions, while emphasizing ongoing growth through the development of a personal plan for lifelong learning.
